The Wesleyan Church is a Protestant, evangelical denomination organized for worldwide outreach.  We offer the good news that faith in Jesus Christ makes possible a wonderful, personal relationship with God, a holy life empowered by His Spirit for witness and service, and assurance of eternal life in heaven.  Our name comes from John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist movement, who emphasized a life of faith, self-discipline, and perfect love--a life fully devoted to Jesus Christ.

Wesleyans believe in one God, who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and the Savior of all men, women and children who put their faith in Him alone for eternal life.  We believe that those who receive new life in Christ are called to be holy in character and conduct, and can only live this way by being filled with the Lord's Spirit.  We believe in the Bible as the inspired and inerrant written Word of God and seek to establish our faith and actions on its teachings.  We believe God wills for people everywhere to know Him and that the purpose of the church is to tell the world about Christ through its worship, witness, and loving deeds.

Wesleyans believe strongly in unity within the Body of Christ, Christ's Church (John 17:20-26).  We believe in the importance of unity with regard to the essentials of the Christian faith, and we extend charity with regard to non-essentials.  Wesleyans understand that we are a part of the Body of Christ around the world; we deeply love and appreciate our brothers and sisters in Christ who faithfully serve within other evangelical denominations and independent churches around the world.  "I in them and You in Me.  May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that You sent Me and have loved them even as You have loved Me."  Jesus (John 17:23)
